Interstellar Dust Clouds

Universal Science Interstellar Dust Clouds

Interstellar dust clouds may seem to be happily drifting through space but these clouds have a vital role in the development of the universe. Eventually all of the dust particles within these interstellar dust clouds will form multiple star systems, planets and possibly even life.

In the outer edges of the cloud, these frozen dust grains with their complex molecules intact form comets. It is thought that these comets have drifted into the inner solar system bringing these complex molecules with them. The scientific theory of the big bang is that these comets have seeded our planet with the building blocks Amino Acids which we need for life.

Our sun and earth were formed out of an interstellar cloud much like the interstellar cloud G34.3. if you crushed the earth into dust and let it drift in space then this is what the interstellar dust cloud that formed our solar system would be like; a combination of all of the molecules that make up life as we know it.
